Tasting Notes: Light, straw yellow in colour. The aroma is clean and fresh, with rich, ripe tropical fruits. The palate has the classic viognier character - apricot, fromage frais and peach fruits - well structure, richly textured, good length with a pleasant, lingering after taste.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Sur lie aging for at least one month. Selective harvesting by hand, with further manual selection on the sorting table.
Bili and Emy, the sisters who own and run Burgozone are passionate about sustainable farming, wine growing and commitment to ecological responsibility. The vineyards are perched on the slopes above the Danube, opposite southern Romania, near the port town of Oryahovo and over looks the island of Esperanto. The vineyard enjoys a moderate continental climate, blessed with hot days and cool nights, as well as benefiting from close proximity to the Danube River.
