Tasting Notes: Dense ruby red in colour with violet hues.  Rich aromas of ripe cherry & sour cherry with hints of vanilla oak, smoke and dark chocolate.  The palate is rich and fruit filled, sweetness of ripe fruits with spicey, warming tannins - a lovely aftertaste of soke and vanilla.  Aged for 6 to 9 months in Bulgarian and French oak.

The vineyards are in Oryahovo on the Danube Plain, the grapes are selectively harvested by hand, then manually sorted on a sorting table.  Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Bili and Emy, the sisters who own and run Burgozone are passionate about sustainable farming, wine growing and commitment to ecological responsibility.  The vineyards are perched on the slopes above the Danube, opposite southern Romania, near the port town of Oryahovo and over looks the island of Esperanto.  The vineyard enjoys a moderate continental climate, blessed with hot days and cool nights, as well as benefiting from close proximity to the Danube River.
