Tasting Notes: Bright red in colour with purple reflections. Fresh aromas of sour cherries, herbs, blackberry, black tea, violet and hints of clove that follow through to the palate. Medium bodied, ripe tannins with balancing acidity. the finish is full of red fruit flavours.
The grapes are hand harvested from an altitude of 320mt, transferred directly to the winery. The maceration and fermentation last for 10 days in stainless steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation follows and the wine mature on the fine lees for 5 months. Filtration and bottling folows.
Wine has been produced in Nemea area for 2800 years - the Athanasiou family started there in 1855.
