Tasting Notes: A classic Chablis from vines grown on the famous Kimmeridgian clay with nervy, mineral fruit but added depth from a small, around 10%, addition of some oak aged wine into the blend. This is very typical of the Motte style and gives a richness and balance to the wine. IWSC French Producer of the year 2013.
Pale straw yellow in colour with a nose of crisp apples, citrus zest and some mineral tones.
On the palate, the Chablis exhibits concentrated flavours of lime, soft apple, steely mineral hints and a creamy texture. Complex and well made, the wine balances perfectly a fuller body with sharp fruits, a softer texture and a long finish.
