Tasting Notes: Mango, apricot, pineapple and honey hints. Clean, balancing acidity makes this a light, refreshing sweet wine.
A total of seven vineyards in southern Palatinate and Mittelhaardt are planted with seven different Sauvignon Blanc clones. The decisive advantage of this is the various microclimates of the different sites which are beneficial in terms of flavour diversification. The soils in which the grape vines grow are as distinct as the sites themselves. Training usually occurs as cordon which leads to a grape area that is linear and therefore easier to handle. The vineyards are permanently green partially due to natural herbs and sowed grass. SWEETHEART is a bold sweet wine from the late harvested and very ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes – they fermented spontaneously
before they were exposed to the cold January “open air”. The wine is fruity, exotic and spicy with a refined acidity and fruit sweetness. It’s suitable as an aperitif or with fruit desserts. The blissful drinking bear on the front label with nearly human features was
drawn in 1933 by a famous Palatine painter as a tribute to Oliver Zeter’s great-grandfather Walter Baer.
