Tasting Notes: Santenay 'Sous la Roche' is aptly named due to its close location to the bedrock, giving a crisp minerality to the wine. The stones also help to store heat from the daytime sun, keeping the vines warmer through the night which ensures a good grape ripeness. Domaine Bachey-Legros has some of the oldest vineyards in the Southern Côte de Beaune this particular wine is from a single vineyard site with old vines of an average age of 55 years. It is a full bodied, creamy White Burgundy which has been oak fermented and aged. It is well balanced with a good acidity and a long finish.
