Complex and interesting, Smoke & honey lingering finish.
More Info
Tasting Notes: Light golden in colour. The nose has aromas of vanilla, citrus, raisins and malted barely with a touch of saline minerality. The palate has a touch of smoke from the peated barley which develops on to caramel, honey, cereal barley notes with salty minerals. A deliciously long finish with lingering smoke and honey. Complex and interesting, a real pleasure.
Introduced to the range in 2009. A fusion of two four year old whiskies, both of which were aged in ex-bourbon barrels in India. Four years is a long time for aging in India, as the arm weather found there encourages rapid aging. 75% of the blend is from unpeated Indian barley and 25% from peated Scottish barley.
Launched in 2009, the following year whisky connoisseur Jim Murray declared the Bangalore Amrut Fusion Single Malt the world’s third-best whisky in that year’s edition of his annual Whisky Bible.
