Tasting Notes: Rich and ripe with apricot, peach skin with hints of mango and lychee on the nose. The wine shows honeyed aromas with white peach and a full, rich palate of tropical fruit.
Made from old vine Chenin Blanc and Colombar vineyards. Grapes were picked at 36˚ Balling to give the wine its natural sweetness and full body. All grapes used to make this wine were harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning.
This remarkable winery has a long-standing tradition of winemaking, as the original cellar infrastructure of concrete and underground tanks proved. However, a new winery was built in its place in 1997, during which the old cellar was renovated and converted into a barrel fermentation centre. Over the last few years the cellar has been re-equipped and modern cooling equipment was installed. Today, the cellar has the capacity to handle 500-tonnes of grapes.
