Tasting Notes: Aromas of vanilla oak, sweet spice and roasted coffee. The palate has notes of fennel, liquorice, mocha with espresso giving depth to a core of dried cherry while firmly delineated tannins provide the structure. Layers of spiced dried fruits and white flower blossom liner throughout. The 2017 vintage is a beautiful, vibrant wine, soft, supple and harmonious from start to finish.
A small, family-run estate in the heart of Italy's prestigious Piedmont region. Two hectares of 30+ year old vines are managed with strict viticultural rules, particularly in terms of yield. Minimal intervention occurs in the vineyard; the use of chemical sprays is limited. Planted on south-east facing slopes with clay and loam soils. The hillside is divided by a fissure running from the top of the hill to the valley below creating two distinct growing areas. The annual temperatures, rainfall and climatic conditions determine the quantity of Barolo produced.
