Tasting Notes: Very aromatic. Aromas of black fruits with hints of white pepper.  A lovely rounded palate with supple tannins with balancing fresh acidity, leading to a lengthy finish. Medium bodied.  A Grand Vin de Bordeaux with wonderful concentrated character from Old Vines (Vieilles Vignes) planted on limestone and clay soils.  Good to drink now, or to cellar for up to 10 years.

In 1952 Paul Lassagne, who was working in a local tile factory purchased a 2-ha plot including a cellar. In less than 30 years, the vineyard went from 2 to 7 ha. In 1979, Paul`s son, Daniel came to work alongside his father after obtaining a degree in viticulture and oenology. Over the next decade, he increased the size of the vineyard to 17 ha.
By the mid-1990s, the vines and cellar had been entirely renovated and the family holding reached 30 ha, including a 24-ha single block in Lussac Saint Emilion.
